Nice Apex matched Quad of Groove Tubes 6l6S/Slovakian made tubes..I bought these tubes to use in a high gain 100 watt amp head that I was going to sell to try them out real quick for later use,so they have really not even 1 hour use on them..Groove Tubes uses a rating system,and these are rated at a #5,according to GT this means medium rated for normal performance,great dynamic range/attack and are their best all around rating for all types of use,the range is from 4-7..the seller told me that a #5 rating made these really punchy with an aggresive tight attack and thats what I was looking for..I installed them and I couldn't believe how these tubes woke the amp up,it was really raw aggresive with major punch when palm muting, the speakers were definetely getting a workout,sounded awesome..the seller I have been using for about 4 years now and really had the exact description of what these tubes sound like perfectly..but I sold the amp and the buyer wanted the JJ's back in the amp head so I boxed these back up and have been not being used for about 6 weeks now..these tubes look pretty heavy duty,and truthfully they really sounded great..I always see Groove Tubes getting ragged on,but I would buy more with no hesitation..asking $45 shipped in JJ's tube boxes,then wrapped up with lots of bubble wrap and put in a larger box for maximum safety..asking $45 shipped,but if interested make an offer,I will probably never use these again so grab them up at a great price !!
