For the pedal builders/modders... you all order 3PDTs online?

I got excited today while doing my shopping list for 2 boosters then I realized... I don't have any 3PDTs and I can't get them/order them. Though that's because I have no debit/credit card only.

Is it the same everywhere or can you actually find them in some shops? I know nowhere around would have them... but I'm curious.

I've been getting mine from here for about the last 2 years...

Do you have paypal? They can be found on ebay,Or Smallbear takes paypal. I don't know anywhere local to buy them over the counter. (No less on the other side of the pond) I hate credit cards...But it's a evil necessity in the 21st century.:deal:

The link I show takes Pay Pal.

Thanks guys. My paypal's empty and therefore I can't use that either :( At first the sale of the valves was to replenish it but I'd rather just give them away if I can't trade.

Ahh I found a solution :) A simple switching system called the Millenium. Basically involved a FET/Tranny, a couple of resistors and a diode. It allows a 2PDT to be used WITH a LED. I'll probably try that as I have access to the components.

Short of cash I can't pay :laugh2: I can't send any either. But thanks. I always meant to check that site and always forgot

Dude, are you a drug dealer or something? Get a debit card and/or link your bank account to Paypal! You're 20 dude...

Re: For the pedal builders/modders... you all order 3PDTs online?

No income. Can't find a job for some reason. And not from the UK either ;) Which means the banks wouldn't let me have neither a debit, nor a credit card. Not my choice :( I went to every banks in town to see if they'd do it.

I see...

Do you have a link to that switching system? It almost sounds like a Boss style switch.

That schematic looked promising, but you have to be careful with the popping noise it can make i belive...

It's for use with straightforward MOSFETbooster. Been tried and tested with it, it should be fine.

Don't have the site as a favorite...

www.geofex.com
And do a search for millenium switching.

Re: For the pedal builders/modders... you all order 3PDTs online?

Ah! The Millennium Bypass! I've used it quite a few times, and it should work wonderfully on a booster. You might have to mess around a little with the resistor value depending on the value of the pot you use for your volume control in the booster itself. For the comment above, it actually has nothing to do with the boss type switching. It basically uses a single transistor to turn on an led. It's quite a clever circuit. The transistor is biased just right so that it can actually get electricity though the volume pot.The millennium bypass does pop sometimes, but that is usually remedied by putting a 1 Meg resistor across the ground and signal at the effect output jack.

Quick question on 3PDTs..I have seen EHX 3PDTs go for $4 at pedalpartsplus.com. Are these good enough ? The price seems really good compared to other sources.
