Greetings,

The amp in this demo is a Marshall Kerry King Signature Head (2203KK), modified by Mike Fortin of Fortin Amplification (http://fortinamps.com/).

Fortin Beast Mod Demo (Fortin Marshall 2203KK Kerry King Mod)

Signal Chain;

'91 Gibson Les Paul Studio/Ebony Fretboard
Bare Knuckle Painkiller Bridge Pickup
Seymour Duncan Alnico Pro II Neck Pickup

Fortin Mod Marshall Kerry King 2203KK (aka Fortin Beast Mod)
Marshall 4x12 1960 Vintage Bottom Cab
Marshall/Celestion Vintage 30's

No post production on the guitar tracks. One left one right. Lead tracks are using the Painkiller bridge, and the Duncan Alnico II Pro neck pickup.

Sounds good! The Fortin modded stuff is fantastic.

Also I love the st angerish snare.

Is it from a VST?

I love this amp. The drums are Toontrack Superior 2.3 with the Metal Foundry & Metal Machine expansion packs.

Edit;

Thanks for the kind words Toe-Knee!

I was just going to say it sounded like something from St. Anger with crispier guitars and then Toe-Knee beat me to it lol!

I knew that there was Metal Machine in there somewhere :D I use Metalheads, Metal Machine and SD 2.3 myself.

Cool riffs, monstrous tone!

Hey thanks for the kudos. Yeah, I've been happy with the Toontrack stuff. I am going to get more of there products. Though i like live drums, this is perfect for getting demo stuff, preproduction, and ideas down for conveying to others. Allot of people think its an actual drummer, though it is a drummer, but not.

great playing, nice tone :) I used to live in emo austin a year ago went to red river every weekend :bling:

Yep. I used be down on Red River all the time. There are a handful of good bands in Austin, but there is about a dumpster full of not so good bands here. I haven't gone out much, due to writing material, and putting together all the logistics for my current project. I can't wait to get that going full tilt. San Antonio is a fun place to play. I like the metal scene there. Much greater than the Helmet Hair scene here in Austin. Indie Rock is abundant. So are those dreadful hair dos, and unforgiving tight pants. Ewww.

lol sooo true, hipsters love cheesy college majors and stretchy pants...they need to put some meat on them bonez :) tons of bands in Austin, mostly emo. San Antonio has tons of death metal bands, but venues will let you gig here.
