Magix Music Maker (ASUS Music Maker by Magix - same thing).

Neat little loop-stringer-togetherer with a limited selection of loops. Typical Techno crap, but also had a Cinematic/Movie Score selection. Easy to use, but also very limited in terms of features (no MIDI editing, no loop creation, just a few modding tools like clip length and fades and some vst effects).

Anyway, after running through the Cinematic samples, I strung together this little ditty.

I dig it, but that's probably all that can be done with it. Even the "bought" version doesn't appear to offer much beyond what the freeware has, unless you're into Hip Hop and House and other Dance-type stuff.


Gonna take another look at that East-West monthly plan.

Ok, so I left this on repeat and it's great to sleep to. Puts me right out and keeps me asleep. Normally that's a bad thing, but I've been sleeping to Black Sabbath since I was 7, and I can snooze like a champ with Motorhead playing, which means if it doesn't annoy me enough to wake me up, it's great.

Poking around with the included samples a bit more, I was actually able to make 3 more pieces. They're all similarly-themed, obviously, since it's ready-made loops, but it's a neat toy to pass the time, anyway. Click the names if it's not showing as a link.


Battle - since it's a Cinematic-styled set of loops, my mind runs in that direction, so I'd imagine this would loop during "the big fight". Heavily choreographed type of battle where the action focuses on the main character. This one would loop continuously, especially for a video game, or those slo-mo "300"-style fight scenes. Winamp kinda skips between loops, though.

Epic - the approach to the gates of whatever. Mordor, Eisengaard, Rome, whatever.

Aftermath - walking through the charred landscape after the battle, emerging from the vault 200 years after the nukes went off, that sort of thing.
