Fralins

I thinkn of gettin som lindy fralin pups in my american deluxe. it has three noiseless in it right now. mabye a set of some blues special fralin pups. is this a good idea? i look up to hendrix and stevie ray Vaughn

Fralins are great! Don't forget about the Antiquity texas hots and the Surfers....This is a "Seymour Duncan" forum...LOL

The Fralin Vintage Hot set is closer to what Jimi Hendrix and SRV would've used, IMO.

I have a couple of Strats with Vintage Hots in them. The Fralin Blues Specials are wonderful too but work best in bright guitars that you might want to warm up a little. The Blues Specials have about 5% more bass and mids and 5% less treble than vintage 50's and 60's pickups.

I have to say tho that the Duncan Antiquity Surfers are unbeatable...I just love them. The Antiquity Texas Hots too.

The Antiquitys are stronger than vintage, like the Fralin Blues Specials, but just have such a cool personality.

If you want a slightly warmer tone with more mids go Texas Hots...if you want a bright, deep, chimey set that's actually more like 50's and 60's vintage Strat pickups go Surfers.
