Framus Diablo Custom - Good or Bad Deal?

Hi all, I need you to help me make up my mind about keeping or returning a used Framus Diablo Custom that I purchased.

It seems like a quality piece of kit, has Duncan pickups, a Wilkinson vibrato, swap ash body, maple cap, ovangkol neck (huh?), ebony fretboard. It feels very solid, but it is relly freaking heavy. I'm also not too keen on the cherry sunburst color.

I paid $600 out-the-door. Was this a good deal, or did I get ripped off? Are these considered good guitars (I know the amps are)?.
I bought it from a store with a 30-day return guarantee, so I can return it if I change my mind.

Thanks for your comments, opinions, etc.

Here is a link to the Framus product page, and some pics of the one I bought:

How does it sound and feel to you? Does it resonate good? Does it inspire you to play guitar?

Ovangkol

It sure is a nice looking guitar, and, judging from the specs, it seems to be a quality instrument.

What I would really like to know is: How the he!! do they securely attach the neck with only 2 bolts?? And on the tapered part of the body on top of that???

Or am I missing something here??

Nightburst:
Good questions... The neck on this thing is similar in thickness to a PRS neck, but it is oiled, not painted, and it is soooo smooth. I also have an Ibanez RG470 that has a smooth neck, but I don't play it much because, it's so thin, it feels uncomfortable to me. The body is another story; it is very dense and heavy, and it does not resonate like I'm used to with my Les Pauls. It sounds like I'm playing on a concrete guitar -- the notes sound thin and light. So the neck inspires me, but body does not.

Arkitkt:
It does have quality parts for shure. It has Hot Rails and JB humbuckers and a Vintage Staggered single coil. The two bolts does seem weird, doesn't it? I just read somewhere that there are two other bolts inside the neck cavity.

Thanks for the comments.

Methinks you have your answer right here.

There's 1000s of guitars out there. Find one you really like.

Yeah sounds like you landed a good deal but unfortunately the guitar didn't turn out like you wanted it to. By looking at the pics and specs you are probably able to trade it for a nice guitar over $600. Maybe a SG special?

That neck looks really good though!
