Today I came across an old (no porting) Genz Benz vertical 2x12 cabinet in which someone had replaced whatever the original speakers were with a pair of Mesa Black Shadows labelled "V12". The cabinet is open behind the top speaker, closed behind the bottom speaker.

Any ideas what this thing will sound like if/when I test it out?

I suspect the V12 refers to the previous Eminence line (before the Redcoat/Patriot series came out). IIRC, the V12 was their Vintage 30 clone. I think they still list them on their website.
