Built this for my cousin. We're going to be collaborating on a project over the internet so I wanted him to have a guitar that was fairly similar to my Schecters (24 frets, active pickups) but still have some style that he'd appreciate. I had one more Dean here that I hadn't parted out so I refinished it as shown. Ironically enough in the video, Jeff looks to have avoided getting rained on.

The hats are mine.

I bought that DVD the same night I heard about Jeff (RIP). I had been planning to do it for a while, but there was no point in waiting after that.

The single most powerful musical expression ever, so short, so focused, so perfect. Best experienced live. The ROAR of the crowd when the song first kicks in is priceless. :firedevil

Oh, and cool project. I was assuming that would be an EMG 81, but I don't see the logo. Which pickup is that?

Used a straw. Dip one end in the paint with your finger over the other end, bring it over the body and release for larger spots. For the small spots you blow in the end your finger was on. For some of the streaks you smack the end of the straw down. Wear a shirt you don't care about.

Great DVD. Saw Slayer a few times when Bostaph was drumming, have only gone to two concerts in the last 10 years. Wish I could have gone when Lombardo came back and Hanneman was still playing. The shows in Detroit are usually at some hellhole where you're not sure if you'll come outside to a broken in vehicle (they got my cellphone once, so a few people got some obscene calls), so I stopped going.

The pickup is a Dragonfire 81. It sounds about the same as the EMG but is a bit cheaper.

I'm not. It's actually a coincidence... The color of the hat matches most of my wardrobe (black t-shirts), and it was free from a supplier. When my girlfriend and I were out house shopping I was wearing a Saints hat (another freebie) and ran into the former mayor of that city and talked to him. He asked me if I was a fan.. told him I was a fan of free hats. :firedevil
