So, I went through a little bit of a crazy stage a while ago, where I built three chorus pedals, and five compressors. Now I've gotta sell off a couple of those. So, behold, the DIY pedals from krankguitarist. All classic circuits, just put together by a no-name, nobody like myself. And they all sound ****ed good.
None of these pedals have battery connectors, they must be used with a 9v power supply
First up's my BYOC ross compressor clone. I built this one back when it was the "three knob compressor". Works great, sounds great. I sourced the parts for this one myself, all metal film 1% resistors, AVX boxed metal film caps, Xicon electrolytics, Silver mica caps instead of ceramic, etc. All with a spiffy, custom paint job, and ugly as hell yellow base plate. I'm asking 55 dollars shipped.
Next up, is a GGG DOD 280A optical compressor clone. I etched the circuit board for this one myself, it's got WIMA caps, 1% metal film resistors, xicon electrolytics, etc. Another spiffy, home-made paint job. Sounds great, though if ya turn the sustain knob up all the way you'll get a little distortion outta it. T'was the same way in the original pedals. Nobody tends to turn em up that high anyways
. I'm asking 30 dollars shipped.
Next up, a BYOC fully loaded chorus. Nice red sparkle paint job on this one, it's powdercoated. The LED hole isn't properly aligned with the rest of the holes on the pedal, but that's just a cosmetic issue. Its a Small Clone...uh....Clone. Rate and Depth knobs, a speed boost switch (can get ya into ring mod territory), a vibrato switch (eliminates the dry signal), and a 4 rotary depth switch (sets the range of the depth knob). Pretty cool little unit. Makes a little noise on its own when you got it going crazy fast speeds, but for "normal" operation it's pretty silent.
AVX/WIMA boxed metal film caps, 1% metal film resistors, silver mica caps, xicon electrolytics, etc, etc. I'm asking about 75 dollars shipped on this one.
