The '74 is my favorite year for Super Reverb amps. I like the transformers from that year better than from any other year. This is a silverface that I put a blackface front panel on. I also replaced the original poorly made cabinet with a new finger joined solid pine cab...much better tone! You can have the old cabinet too. I installed four Weber P10Q 30 watt 10" speakers...always hated the harsh tone of the CTS 10's. This amp has been tweaked to perfection: new caps, new tubes, totally reconditioned with all silverface circuitry converted to blackface specs and reverb on both channels! One channel now has a Marshall tone stack...just a matter of replacing the tone control caps with a pair of .02 caps. NICE!
One channel has the vintage blackface tone and one channel has more of a Marshall Plexi tone but could be easily returned to stock if you chose to.
I didn't do anything that couldn't be reversed. No master volume controls or holes drilled anywhere or anything weird like that!
I've got over $1200. into it. Make me an offer.
Looks like brand new!
