Selling my mid 90's Gibson SG-X, not in the best shape cosmetically, hence the low price. Basically a 24 fret SG jr. with a bridge humbucker.

Prior to me getting the guitar, a previous owner stripped the finish off the front of the body, and (looks like) they started to do the back but never finished...So It's not so good looking, haha. Front is Natural Mahogany, with a thin coat of Nitro clear to seal it. Back, sides, and neck, are Dark Blue. It looks weird. Has various dings, dents, and scratches in what's left of the finish. Neck is smooth and mostly ding free, certainly nothing that can be felt while playing.
My intention when I got this was to finish stripping it, and give it a proper refinish...But I never got around to it, and at this point have to many guitars anyways, selling for what I paid for it.

Beyond looking funky, It's actually a great sounding and playing guitar. No head stock breaks/repairs in its history, Original electronics and Pickup (Gibson 500T) function perfectly, no scratchiness in the pots. Holds tune better than any SG I've ever come across. Very resonant and lively sounding (might have to do with the lack of paint on the front, haha). Very little fret wear, mostly in the first 5 frets, but still nothing substantial.

Will include a Hard case, Not the original gibson case (which I don't have), But regardless still a nice high quality black hard shell

SOLD LOCALLY
