I've been bitten by the PRS bug again, so I'm putting my '93 Hamer Vintage S up for sale. Here are the details and a few pics.

'93 Hamer Vintage S: solid flame maple body (amberburst finish), birdseye neck with pao ferro board, onboard Copeland TC300 active 3 band eq, Duncan pickups (SSL-1's I believe), Sperzel locking tuners, ABM roller trem with arm, Lubritrak nut, matching headstock finish, Dunlop straplocks, gold hardware, original case, excellent condition, no fretwear

I had one almost dead on that one back in the mid 90's and would love to snagg one of those. Unfortunately I'm cash strapped right now any chance of considering a trade:scratchch?

Just curious about the Hamer. Are you saying its one solid piece of Maple, with a flamed maple top? I saw a solid one piece maple guitar body sell on ebay and there was a lot of bids and it went high.

It is not a flamed maple top. It is a bookmatched, 100% solid flamed bigleaf maple body.

That is stunning! I love the beuatiful chocolate swirl rosewood fretboard also. wow!

:banghead:Somebody buy this thing!! I had one like this back in the mid 90's and want this one badly but the Whitford Prosonic head I just bought and some upcoming buisness expenses keep me outta tha mix on a purchase. It's driving me NUTS seeing it up for sale when I have no cash ta spend so somebody PLEASE buy it and get it outta my sight :rant::smash:!!!

Can you post more photos? What kind of tremolo does it have? Is it as bright as I imagine it must be?

These are all the pics I have at the moment...if you want a pic of something specific, just let me know.

The trem is an ABM roller trem (made in Germany). Solid brass plate, block, and saddles. Each saddle has a roller bearing where the string makes contact to eliminate binding. Very stable and easy to adjust.

It is not bright like you would think. Bigleaf maple is much less dense than regular hard maple...between alder and mahogany. Here is a specific gravity comparison (higher numbers indicate more density/brighter sound):

bigleaf maple: 0.48
hard maple: 0.68
alder: 0.41
mahogany: 0.54
