I wish I didn't have to do this.................but I need the money
. I'm putting up my '97 Gibson Les Paul Special for sale. It's wine red with nickle harware. 60's neck, Grover mini-tuners, Seymour Duncan SP-90 Vintage Soapbar pickups, Schaller strap-locks, and it come with a hard shell case. This guitar is in great shape and they seem to be a rarity (I had a hard time finding this one), especially with real P-90 pickups. These models originally came with P-100's stacked soapbar humbuckers. I do not have the original picks, but the Duncans do sound WAY better.
The only flaws on this guitar are 2 small nicks on the bottom edge of the top (too hard to photograph), a drill hole on the back of the neck at the hilt where a Shaller strap lock button was once installed, the finish around the ablone headstock logo is slightly bubbling (typical on these guitars), and some minor buckle rash on the back. The guitar still looks great, plays great, and sounds spectacular.
I'm asking $1000 shipped (in U.S. lower 48). No trades. Don't miss this chance for an incredible guitar. Wish I didn't have to sell it, but the bills ain't goin' nowhere soon. Shoot me a PM if interested and for more/larger pics.
