I've been wiring my own basses for a few years now and I have been using them RELIGIOUSLY in all my passive basses.
They sound great! I especially love them with J and P-styled pickups. My current favorite match are the Seymour Duncan Jazz stacks with these caps as you can roll all the way from bright, poppy and articulate Miller-ish bass tone all the way down to those warm, reggae lows so commonly associated with jazz basses. I love these caps!
