FS: Blackstar HT20H for sale, like new condition. Bought about a year ago and only used at home. The only place I'm playing these days is at church and I'm going direct there, so I've got a AMT preamp for that.

Comes with footswitch, paperwork, and packed in original box and packaging.

$350 shipped and PP'd in the lower 48 US.

never heard one of these.. how does it compare to either the tweaker, jet city or even the HT5?

Hey is this just a 20 watt version of their 5 watt HT-5? Just curious.

Re: FS: Blackstar HT20H Head, Like New!

Sorry I missed the questions.

I haven't played through a Tweaker or Jet City, but from what I can tell, the Blackstar has a clean channel, effects loop, and Cab Sim out that the Jet City doesn't. You can also turn the Master all the way off and just use the cab sim out. Soundwise, again, from what I can gather without personal experience, the Blackstar's gain channel is probably a little higher gain, more compressed, and a little darker than the Jet City or Tweaker.

No, it's not a more powerful HT5, the 20 adds another preamp tube, and the EL34 power section sounds different than the 5W power section. I think there is a little more control than the 5. I've had a HT5 also, very cool little amp, the 20 is definitely more gig worthy though, and you can still use it at bedroom volumes, although it will get loud pretty quick.

It's a killer sounding little amp, yes, there is some SS stuff going on in the preamp but it sounds killer. The power section is cathode biased EL34s, so it's got more of a class A sound going on.

Here's a link to a demo of the combo version:
