Fs: Blusa - L-900xl

Trying to sell this pup in this forum puts me in the same mood as being invited to dinner with the Govenor and bringing a bottle of Ripple. To compensate . . . I'll let it go cheap.

Its a BLUSA, (not Bill and Becky), L-900XL, which is my understanding is exactly the same pup as the L-500XL, but with a cover. See this link for more info: Bill Lawrence L-900XL

Fans would call this "hi-fi". I would call it "sterile". However, I can honestly say that it isn't completely without merit. It has a few good points:

1. Roll back your tone control, and use it with heavy distortion/fuzz/overdrive. It's clarity works good there.

2. It works great with certain settings on modeling amps. Especially the "acoustic" model. The hi-fi aspect of it shines in that capacity.

3. Its a cheap way to be able to say . . . "I know what a BLUSA pickup sounds like." :D

$20 shipped CONUS. No returns. (Unless you truly hate it.)
I'll throw in some little switches to sweeten the deal. :)

Edit: Btw - I would be willing to trade for almost any DiMarzio, Kent Armstrong, GFS, etc, just so I can say I know what those sound like. No Powersounds please. ;)

Re: Fs: Blusa - L-900xl

(I believe) I have BLUSA 500L & 500XL as OEM pickups in my 1995 Jackson RR1. If they are the same as this pickup, I don't think they sound too bad. Sort of a passive EMG81. Definitely gets that Dimebag Darrell tone. I wouldn't kick it out of bed, but then again, I have over 25 other axes with different pickups to choose from. I wouldn't choose this to be my only pickup on a desert island, or an EMG81 for that matter.
