The 5-way switch wiring gives more versatility for two humbuckers, where the 2nd and the 4th positions split the coils. This option delivers nice sound variations which are especially great on crunch and also can be good with distortion.

Specifications:

Body: Basswood
Color: Yellow Sparkle
Neck: Maple
Fingerboard: Rosewood
Number of frets: 22
Scale length: 25,5" (648 mm)
Inlays: white dots
Pickups configuration: H-H
Neck pickup: Jackson J80C
Bridge pickup: Jackson J80C
Controls: 5-position switch, Master volume and master tone
Bridge: Double-locking JT-6 Tremolo
Locking nut: Kahler-style behind the nut.

The Guitar's Condition:

The guitar is in very good condition. Its finish has minor wear, some several nicks as you can see on the photos, which are visible only if you look closer. The original locking nut was replaced by the decent Kahler Style one, I can include an original clamp if you care.

$479.00

The shipping cost to the US is $79.00. PM for the other locations.

I think that color is called Pearl White and it has just yellowed over time. Very cool guitar man!!!

Re: FS: Charvel Model 3A

I love this guitar...
The only two things keeping me from pulling the trigger is the neck pocket crack (not clear if it’s just in the finish or the wood itself) and lack of fine tuners on the Floyd.

The fine tuners are there. That is the Jackson JT-6 tremolo.

Oh!! No kidding.
I thought they were the Allen wrench inserts that hold the string block in place.
I get it now.
They ARE both the block tighteners AND the fine tuners.
I actually quite like that design.
Thanks!!

I think, yes, it's kind of "aged white", but still there are some sparkles very close to my other Charvel – 375 Deluxe. Thanks!!!

It's quite often happening thing with the pockets' finish. I had the same crack on Charvel Spectrum and have also on Charvel 375 Deluxe. Not sure how does this come out.

Yes, I’ve seen it in many other bolt on guitars also. Probably due to the pressure of actually bolting the guitar neck on to the body.
But I agree, often it is just the finish that’s has cracked.

Re: FS: Charvel Model 3A

I have wanted a Charvel for a long time. If I was working I would buy that from you in a heartbeat. GLWTS.

Re: FS: Charvel Model 3A

Yep. The color is killer and I love it with the dark rosewood board. All I would change is the pickups.

Great minds, my friend....great minds.
Fwiw, I’d go with a Custom Custom bridge and either an A2P or Sentient neck.

Great minds indeed. CC/A2P or maybe PGn if guitar needed more brightness in the neck. No experience with the Sentient, but it sounds like something I would like.

Yep exactly, cause those JT-6 trems are really nice units and perform very well when properly maintained and set up (as is with any Floyd) Def a cool guitar, hope you find it a good home!
