Hey guys, I think I'm looking to sell my Custom Tele project guitar. It was outlined in this thread. For a summary,
2002 MIM Fender Tele body and neck
Refinished with Reranch nitro products
Mint green pickguard
Distortion bridge, Dunc Designed Distortion neck (from my Schecter C1)
All new hardware, minus tuners, string tree, and ferrules
I sprayed the nitro around March 2006, and completed it around June. It's had a full year for the finish to cure. The finish on the back is a bit thinner than it should be. There are noticable dents, dings, etc in the body that I didn't fill before finishing. The neck could use some more 1200/2000 sanding and final polishing. It would make a great player with a good setup and probably a new nut - I've always felt like the high E was too close to the edge of the neck. Or, it could make a good inexpensive base for a refinishing experiment. I've done the hard work of digging through the poly. Nitro is easy to get rid of or cover up.
Guitar is a ton more lively, loud, and resonant without the poly finish choking it down. There is a definite difference between before and after.
Unfortunately, as much work as I put into it, I just don't play it very much. I will post more pictures in a little while. I will only sell to you guys here on the forum. If it doesn't sell here, I'll just hang onto it. I think I have a price in mind, but anyone interested should PM me and we can discuss.
