Ok this amp is about 3 weeks old. I picked it up online but the tone isn't quite my thing so I'm going to ditch it.
The Galaxie is the Doc's only channel switcher still in production it's his first Fender-esque amp. It runs 2 6L6s in Triode or Pentode (30 or 40 watts) operation, and has 3 12ax7s with power supplied by old school Fender style Triad (8 ohm only) trannies and a 5U4GB recto. To add to the Fenderness (if that's a word) it has an AC plug in on the back.
Channel one is Zs take on the warm, girthy organic Tweed Super with great cleans and crunchy breakup. It loves pedals too.
Channel two is slightly more British sounding with low headroom and TONS of mids to really give you grind and tons of punch for leads. Imagine a JTM45 on steroids.
I would like to get 1050 plus shipping. As for trades I'm looking at some high gain heads and I'm williing to throw in some cash. I'm looking for a Shiva, Sig X, Einstein, Duende, or Stiletto.
It has the factory tubes and footswitch (obviously)
