Something Cool
$110 shipped paypaled with the Antiquity, two APS-1, quality switch, quality capacitor and brand new CTS pots.
For trades see end of posting.
Before we come to the good parts: I got brand new CTS pots for this, but due to an ordering screwup I got solid shaft pots and only realized this after I put them in. You need solid shaft knobs for this, this is normally used for Teles. I include a set of Strat knobs that you might or might not be able to hack up.
Before re-doing this, I'm pricing it at $110 for those who want solid shaft anyway or deal with this.
Parts used:
Pickup measurements:
Double ground loops in awg 18 copper:
Pickups used:
I didn't want to cut the pickup wires, so there are some wire loops:
Includes Antiquity box and bag, a set of knobs that you may be able to make fit and a large and a small switch tip (tips fit switch, who-hoo!):
Tested and everything works, including all controls.
Trades accepted, optional cash take or give:
- SD '78
- SD Full Shred, bridge or neck
- Screamin Demon
- I could use anything SD in zebra thanks to me changing my mind after I got everything in black [claps himself on shoulder]
- Alt-8
- P-rails

Parts used:
- Bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan Antiquity Surfer Custom bridge. That is the hot/overwound Custom version. 9.33 Kohm.
- Middle and neck are Seymour Duncan APS-1.
- Middle is RWRP for hum-canceling in the notch positions. Hum canceling is not complete in the middle-bridge notch position because the overwound bridge pickup picks up more hum than the APS-1 makes good. This is not a defect. Hum-canceling in neck-middle works perfect.
- Pickguard is IIRC a used Squier Japan. I had to drill new holes for the better pot's notches, that won't be visible under knobs.
- Brand new CTS 250 Kohm solid shaft pots.
- Switch is a U.S. made 5-way.
- High-quality 0.047 uF capacitor.
- Schematics implemented are these: Seymour Duncan schematics for Strat One volume, two tone, except I use a 0.047 uF cap like traditionally used on Fenders.
- Ground loop has been layed in awg 18 pure copper. Output plug connection is Belden shielded awg 22. All other connections are white cloth push-back wire.
