FS/FT: Vox Satchurator

As the title says, I'm putting my recently purchased Satchurator up on the block. It's a cool pedal, just doesn't fit my style as well as I'd expected. I've just had it for a few weeks, hasn't left the apartment. Will ship in original box with manual, etc. I'd be happy to take photos if anyone wants to see them.

As far as trades, I'm pretty interested in the Xotic AC and RC boosters, or other light overdrives to use for lower gain stuff and to boost a BB preamp I just picked up. I'd be happy to throw a little cash on the deal to make up a bigger price difference.

NOTE: I will be out of town from 12/21 to 1/3, but I'll probably take the pedal with me in case a deal pops up in that time, if it's not gone by then.

How does the BB preamp compare to the Satchurator? I already own the BB and like it a lot. I was considering the Satch pedal but if you are selling yours off and keeping the BB I will probably hold off on buying it.

The Satchurator has more gain on tap, quite a bit more actually. In fact, with the gain all the way down on the BB it can act almost as a clean boost, where the Satch is still fairly dirty on the lowest setting. The Satch's "more" switch is cool as a solo boost too, sort of makes this a two channel pedal. I'd probably compare the Satch to what I've heard so far about the BB Plus, since you can do the "two channel" thing with it too and it supposedly has more gain. I think the BB sounds a little smoother, which can be good or bad depending on the style of music you're playing.

I'm playing through a Flextone III right now and am getting most of my dirty tones from pedals since I can't quite find a model I like. I've dialed up a "Plexi on the verge of breakup" clean tone that I goose with pedals, which sounds pretty killer actually, and the BB just fit my style better. The Satchurator sounds like a hot-rodded DS1 to my ears. Definitely a cool pedal, I just want to try some other toys.

Yeah when I was using the Roland Cube 60 regularly I'd use the Plexi model and used the BB or OCD to boost that further for a nice breakup.

This PGS demo is actually a decent representation of the Satchurator. Sometimes I find them to be hit-and-miss, but this one is pretty accurate.
