FS: Hand Made Pickups

Re: FS: Hand Made Pickups

I see you've got an A8 tele pickup. Very cool! I've wound a few of those! They really are great for a more aggressive P90 like tone as opposed to the normal tele twang. Site looks good! Very easy to navigate. Looking forward to seeing it in it's full build!

Yeah, I use some off-beat magnet/wire combos. Mostly because the standards are done and done well by so many. I'd rather not doing much that other companies and builders are already doing so well.

Yeah, I'm still waiting on the logo to be finished and to record some demos. I have some friends that are good players, so maybe I'll be able to talk one of them into doing it for a pair of free pickups.

Interesting take with the Yin-Yang series. I'd also love to hear what one of the cooler wound neck pickups sounds like. Especially with an A4.

Love to hear some demos.

In time! Setting up videos is a lot of work!

The videos will probably include both Ying-Yangs, the Full Ranges, a neck bucker, and a a neck/bridge tele pickup. I'm not sure yet though. I'm still in the process of gather the players and equipment and learning how to edit video. I have experience recording audio, but the video demo is a whole new thing to me.

I wanted to do something a bit different with most of my models. If someone wants tried and true PAF or classic strat sound, there's plenty of outstanding offerings out there already, including at Duncan.

The Ying Yangs took a lot of failed experiments to get too, ha. I'd considered putting adjustable coils on both ends, you can do similar to adjusting the slug half by lowering the screw's half and raising the whole thing.

The cooler wound neck pickups are exactly once you expect when you play them: Brighter sounds in exchange for less muddy/fat, and a higher resonance peak. They are very clear. I have comparisons that I need to upload still between difference magnets in the lower output humbucker wind.

I'm sure that whatever you put out will be worth the wait.

Looks interesting. You might want to take a look at the HUM-02B description. looks like you might have a typo...
