Bought used a while back and it played nice for a metal shredder. I mainly bought it for a project to fulfill my maple fretboarded dream that never came to be.

It has the HSH pickup arrangement like an RG570 and is made in Japan from the year 2000. It is routed for a Lo Pro TRS-II trem and not sure if any of the OFR or Edge trems can be dropped in without mods (although I doubt it). It requires the AANJ style neck for it.

I was considering keeping this for a project but I could never get a straight answer from the Jemsite forum if Ibanez ever made a Maple fretboard on an AANJ neck that wasn't a Prestige neck, which would cost a lot of moolah.

I'm on vacation now, but I believe all the cover plates are intact and they would be included at no extra charge, probably the same can be said for the trem spring claw and the trem mounting studs.

The body has some deep scratches which almost seems like some kid got hold of a razor or a vicious ex girlfriend/wife wanted revenge over her cheating boyfriend/husband. Not too bad and I was considering keeping it and making a purple bengal out of it which would fill in the scratches and would be a uniquely colored bengal.

If only I could find a Maple AANJ Ibanez neck then I wouldn't be selling it here. If you can lead me to a neck like I want please drop me a line. Thanks.

Oh and the price is $75 + shipping.

The AANJ RG550 necks would fit. They were Maple/maple for the most part.

Actually any 24 fret AANJ neck would fit.

The Edge trem isn't usually a drop in, but OFR/Schaller and Gotoh are.

Good luck with the sale!

I'm pretty used to seeing the AANJ RG550's with Rosewood mostly or always. I have several RG550's with maple, and they are all the square neck heel. It's almost like Ibanez (and everyone else for that matter) stopped using maple fretboards for everything once the shredder era pretty much faded away.
