Washburn WP-80 Les Paul Guitar
Washburn Les Paul style WP-80 from the 1980's. This is a made in Japan Les Paul. Aged White, triple binding (body, neck, headstock). Features a Mahogany body, Mahogany set neck, and rosewood fingerboard. Weighs approx 9-10lbs. Has a longer Transitional neck Tenon that runs into the body for better sustain and is more stable.
Upgrades include:
Professionally installed Polished Bone nut, Replaced all Pots, Jack and Switches with USA Gibson parts, new model Tun-o-matic bridge, Gotoh Tuners, Bridge Pickup is a Rio Grande Texas BBQ, and the neck is an Alnico II Pickup brand unknown, (they both sound excellent, and balance very well together.) Installed Dunlop Gold Strap Locks (starting to tarnish) There are a few small dings and light marks from normal play and handling of a guitar this age and some of the gold hardware is showing some age but overall it is in very good condition.
The neck is straight and the Frets are Excellent No Fret wear and no Buzz. (I just had a professional level, crown, and dress, polished to a mirror shine). The guitar is steup with 10-46 gauge strings. Action at the first Fret Low E is 2/64 and at first fret high E is 1/64. Action at 12th Fret on Low E is 5/64 and on high E 3/64.(standard Gibson specs, could be dropped lower also, upon players taste) The Neck Shape is not real thin nor Real fat, I would say inbetween Les Paul 59, and Slim 60's neck. This guitar Plays and sounds great! It compares alot to the big names, hence the reason why Washburn was forced to stop making them back in the 80's.
Includes the Plush Lined Hardshell case as pictured.
