non-logo'd TB4J MJ wound Hamer OEM Trembucker from a Diablo, wound to about 17.3K. It's from a '93 Diablo, so it's about 14 years old but still in very good shape, with about 7.5" of lead. I can also throw in a set of hex screws to replace the slotted ones if you want to experiment. *Important* the Diablos have direct mounted pickups, so the center mounting holes have been drilled out for direct mounting. $45 shipped in the lower 48 US, others can PM or e-mail me.

Next up is a non-logo'd PATB-1 wound to about 15.3K. In excellent shape, about 4.5" of lead, should be enough for most guitars, if you need more, I can add some extension wires nice and neat with heatshrink on it if you ask. This was in another Diablo of mine that I recently sold, so, *Important* the center mounting holes have been drilled out for direct mounting. $48 shipped in the lower 48 US, others can PM or e-mail me.

Don't worry Jeff, I still have a PATB-1 in the amber Diablo I kept:fingersx:

Anyway to mount that PATB1 to a ring with the hole drilled out?? Ive wanted to try one of these.

It might be possible to epoxy a nut on it, I've also read that some people have used JB Weld to fill in the hole enough to re-tap, or I guess you could use a bigger screw and tap for that. I'll see what the next size screw I can find for it is and see if I can re-tap it. You might also try a search in the forum, I think some people have had some luck doing this. I'll also check with Duncan to see if they will send me a replacement baseplate or what they charge to do it.

Long time bump, I'll call SD tomorrow and see what it would take to put a new base plate on these. I also have a logo'd PATB-1 (also with hole drilled out) if you prefer the logo.

JB weld works! I've bought a few pups that the seller had "forgot" to mention they had been drilled out, and it holds up thru the years.

Cool, thanks for the info. Did you weld a nut on or just fill the hole and re-drill and tap?

I cleaned the area off with alcohol, then ran the adj. screw thru the nut and JB Weld the nut to the base plate. And before it was too firm (still elastic), I removed the screw. The screw was to keep the JB Weld off the threads of the nut.
