Well, I tried out a mesa boogie and it worked out so well with my guitar and overall sound that I'm going for that I decided to sell my Laney AOR pro tube lead series (50 watts, 6 knobs) to help fund and vent my recent GAS.
I would prefer local pickup above anything else for this-my zip code is 60430, and I am probably willing to meet half way up to an hour or so. I might consider shipping but I have never packaged an amp for shipping and am not sure how much they will charge me to have them do it properly, if your willing to cover it all and 100% sure you want to buy it I will consider it.
There are only two things I know of wrong with this amp, otherwise everything works great, and it is very very loud.
1. The tubes are old, and I have been holding off on replacing them because my taste will differ from others should I sell it-like I am doing. I've had this a few months, but the person I got it from said they haven't been changed in years. It still sounds good, but you can tell the tone isn't going to be THERE until theyre replaced.
2. The line In/Out (effects loop) is non-functional and I have no idea what is wrong with it.
3. The laney symbol was removed from the front long before I got it. Just keep in mind this amp is likely over twenty years old, so it has a few dings and scratches but is solid as a rock. No other issues at all.
Overall this is a really cool amp, and I hate to get rid of it. It does oldschool metal well, especially when pushed a bit, and has very nice marshally clean tones on the low gain input. I read that these are suppose to be close to hot rodded JCM 800s. They have a cult following too, which is kinda cool.
I'm looking to get 350 for it. Let me know if your interested.
