Schecter C-1 A/E Semi-hollow w/ Gibson 57 Classics and Fender gigbag - $490 shipped

I recently got this guitar in a trade, but it really isn't my thing. I'm more of a single coil Tele/Strat kind of guy.

This guitar is in mint condition; I can't even find a scratch. It is an absolutely gorgeous guitar with the quilted maple top and the sleek finish; the binding and inlays are icing on the cake.

Playability-wise, the action is super low with only a little bit of relief, and I get no buzzing. This guitar plays like butter.

Sound-wise, it is very cool. With the humbuckers (Gibson 57 Classics), it has a very nice, open semi-hollow humbucker tone. It also has a piezo system installed (it comes with this stock) that sounds excellent. There are two output jacks: one for just the humbuckers, and one for both the humbuckers and piezo. If you use both outputs at once (in a stereo setup), one output is for the humbuckers and the other for the piezo. Both the piezo and humbuckers have separate volume and tone controls, so you can roll in each to your taste. It sounds very cool to mix in some piezo into the humbucker tone to give it a nice woodiness. This guitar has the older (superior) wiring scheme with dual outputs and no mini-switch (which is great for stereo setups).

Overall, I'm very impressed with the quality of this guitar; it plays, sounds, and looks like a guitar twice its price. However, I'm more of a Strat/Tele guy. These guitars retail for $700 without a case/bag and the Gibson 57 Classics retail for $110 each, so I feel that this is a great deal! Search the forums--these are highly recommended guitars.

Pretty guitar!

Re: FS: Schecter C-1 A/E Semi-hollow

There has been a slight change to the price. I originally intended on putting the stock pickups back into the guitar and selling it for $425. However, the stock pickups are dead, so the Gibson 57 Classics will stay in. These pickups retail for $110 each, and I was planning on selling them here for $65 each (I got some interest on them already at that price). So I've decided that $490 is a fair price (actually a much better deal for the buyer), which would be basically the additional price of one of the Gibsons. These pickups are a perfect match for this guitar, and be honest, you know that you would have swapped those cheesy Duncan Designed pickups out anyway.

Anyway, if there is no interest soon, I'll probably be putting the guitar on eBay tonight or tomorrow.

These are incredible guitars and this is a great price. My buddy has one identical with Phat Cats in it and it's a tone monster. Good luck on the sale!

I'd have to concur as an owner of a Schecter C-1 E/A... I put the JB/Jazz combo in mine & it definitely rocks! I'm glad to have the new single stereo jack with mini-switch. It works great for blending the piezo with the Jazz to get amazing clean tones and then quickly switch to the mags only for distorted rhythm/lead all through the same effects chain... Could also split the output using a stereo cable, so it's the best of both worlds in my opinion.

Great guitar that's worth every penny!

Re: FS: Schecter C-1 A/E Semi-hollow

as the former owner of that Schecter, i can attest to it's quality and versatility....very nice guitar...
i traded it to Atom for a custom axe with wide neck that really suits me...
after buying a Hamer Artist Korina, the Schecter became expendable but i still hung onto it for quite a while....i've just been moving to wider necks...

i think that was the 3rd deal i've done with Atom and have known him from other forums...
