Squier Pro Tone Strat w/ gigbag - $310 shipped
I trust everyone knows about these guitars by now. For the uninitiated, read up at the linked website. Short story: They were discontinued after a year, because they cut into the sales of American Fenders. Yes, they're that good. They are WAY better than MIM Fenders (even from a completely objective standpoint in terms of specs), and many think they rival American Fenders.
Anyway, this one is a transparent, vintage blonde (the ash grain shows through nicely) one in mint (and completely stock) condition. You will seriously not find one in this good of condition. I can't find a ding or anything. There are a few very faint scratches, but that's being uber-picky. You'll find more scratches on a new guitar hanging in the store. There is a tiny bit of tarnish on the saddles, but the guitar is around almos 12 years old. I just can't express how fantastic this guitar looks. The finish is very smooth and sexy, especially with the ash grain showing through.
The guitar plays fantastically with low action and feels great. The neck has a very smooth, satin finish that allows your hand to just glide along the neck. The stock electronics actually sound quite good too; I wouldn't change them if I were keeping the guitar. They really nail the classic Strat tone quite well with great quack in the in-betweens.
The guitar will ship in a Fender Deluxe gigbag. Unfortunately, I do not have the trem bar, but you can get them for perhaps $5-10 at any guitar store.
The Pro Tones are getting quite rare and have been climbing in value (and I don't see any of this stopping any time soon). They will definately be collectible someday. The blonde one in particular is quite rare, so snap this one up while you can.
