FS: Squier Standard Strat - Mint, Pics

It's a 2002 Squier Standard Strat in Candy Apple Red metallic. It's almost dead mint, no nicks to speak of, no dull chrome. All the parts are factory, and it's set up
with 9s. It's a pretty nice guitar, it has the solid cast saddles like the American series and the metallic red finish is stunning. It varies from a brighter
red to a deep crimson depending on light as you can see in the pics. I bought it for $250, the molded hardshell case for an extra $100.

I'm asking $175 plus shipping.
May entertain small trades.
PM me.

Thanks!
Aaron

Trem arm is included.

Okay, a few questions before I through down some money since I sold the Les Paul Copy.

How well does it stay in tune? Would I need to replace the tuners to be able to gig with it without tuning up after every song? I'm not a heavy tremolo user, a little vibrato there and again and that's about it.

Hows the neck feel? I've never had an all maple neck so I'm curious.

Does it sound pretty good? I'm looking for another guitar for another band I joined so I'm going to need a gigger.

And is your price you posted in your first post including shipping? (Please...lol)
Thanks.

:)

It stays in tune alright. Mind you, it's set up just like it came from the factory (3 trem springs, floating). I don't see any reason you'd need to change the tuners, they feel fine. What I would do if I were going to keep it and play it is set it up with 4 or 5 trem springs for more tension and a lot more stability. Springs are about $2 apeice. As it is, it only goes out of tune quick if you really yank on the trem. Next, if you don't use the trem much, I'd set the bridge up to rest against the body, which would give you better resonance and make it really stable tuning-wise. Now, if you wanted me to, I could do this stuff, I won't even charge, haha.

Next, the neck feels pretty good. I like the unglossed necks like this personally. The shape is a tiny bit thicker than my MIM Tele, which is relatively thin. It's really a C shape neck, I don't have any problems on it. I like the fact that it's one-peice maple, as my Tele is; there's no seam whatsoever on the sides of the neck.

As for the sound, I guess it sounds alright; I've never had another strat to stack it up against, my other guitars are a dual hum and my Tele. With the right amp it would probably sound good.

Hope that helps!

Thanks!
Aaron

Yeah it helps, I have some trem springs here but if you wouldn't mind blocking the tremolo that'd be cool.

Can you get me an exact quote on shipping and I guess just PM me and then I'll PM you when I get the money (should be this week) and I guess I'll use a MO.
