No? I have seen it on a ton of SD APS-1 from 80's Kramer Guitars. That was always what I understood it to be. I am sure someone more knowledgeable than myself on SDs will chime in.

I was always with you on that line of thought as well DeWayne because there for the longest time the dates corresponded with the year of guitar it came from. Now granted most all of my guitars are from 86-89 so it didnt really go against that so I didnt question it until one time I pulled some from an original guitar built much later with that same stamp so like Aryton said, that there is a good indicator that this is most likely a model number or it could be a date stamp that was never revised and they kept that same one through the pickups model run.
Seeing a guitar made prior to 2/87 with that number on it would be interesting to see as well and would add more to this story. I seem to recall the APS-1’s from my 87 Pacer Deluxe also had that 2/87 on them and my pickguard was dated 11/15/87 so that was one example I can recall that made me just go with it.
I might be interested in this but Id have to re-stagger the poles for a lefty stagger. Idk maybe ill text you about it, im getting an idea for a Charvel Star build and i may go Humbucker/Slanted Single in the neck.
