Xaviere XV-870 - $240 shipped
I've got a modded Xaviere XV-870 in surf green and rosewood fretboard with mint green pickguard and cream parts. It's been upgraded with the following: Tonerider Surfari pickups, Acme CTS 250K pots, an Acme CTS Blender pot, CRL 5-way, and an Orange Drop cap for the electornics; a Wilkinson vintage bridge w/ steel block; Wilkinson EZ Lock tuners; and genuine Fender aged white plastic parts. It comes with a cheapish gigbag that gets the job done.
The guitar is in basically near mint condition aside from two tiny dings that I struggled to photograph. I did get one in one of the photos.
This is an absolutely incredible Strat that easily blows away MIM Strats. It sounds fantastic with the Surfaris, which get universally high praise (like a 9.5 rating in the HC reviews). It really nails that bright, clean, clear, crisp, quacky 50's Strat tone. It plays fantastically as well.
I've found that surf green is impossible to photograph accurately. It's a touch greener than all the pics show, particularly in artificial lighting.
