FT - Dimarzio Breed Neck Pickup

I am looking to trade a double black Breed neck pickup in great condition with about 12" of lead for another Dimarzio neck pickup in zebra. I am putting new pickups in a guitar and I have a line on a zebra Dimarzio bridge pickup, since Dimarzio cream and Duncan cream are not the same shade I do not feel I can mix and match brands in this case. Hit me up with what you have, I will can get pics to interested parties.

Any interest in selling the Breed outright?

I tried the Breed neck in the bridge but it was to smooth for me, I had it in mahogany though.

Aha thats why you were not floored!:) I used it in alder and basswood and it kills! just like a paf pro on steroids. I am not too found of mahogany for more aggressive tones.

Mahogany is just like anything else...you have to figure out what works best in it. In my experience, you can't get more aggressive than a medium-high output wind with Ceramic magnets in Mahogany. I can sear the paint off walls with my two Mahogany Jacksons! The Breed neck has an A5. Some players get an A5 to work for them, but its the most hit-and-miss mag for sure when used in Mahogany.

For non-Mahogany guitars, I have to agree that the Breed Neck is a KILLER bridge pickup!

You guys are making me think I should try it in my Alder 80's Schecter Tele.

Holy Cow! You absolutely SHOULD!!!

I absolutely did! My buddy Dean (Notesfield) did the pickup swap for me, after enduring a wiring nightmare we had success. I have only been able to demo low volume so far but it sounds very promising, I can't wait to get the volume up a bit. I coupled it with a Vitual PAF in the neck and the combo is killer.
