This is a one of a kind MJ wound Custom SH-5 DCJ, good condition and long enough leads to be used in the neck. It read 14.2K. Looking for $50 shipped to con USA. Or willing to trade for JB/DD. Thanks for looking.

MJ wound, and sonically speaking, it's tighter than another Custom I've played in a similar guitar. My guess is weaker ceramic mag, and it's wound within spec about 14.16K. The others tried had more variance.

I doubt MJ winds every single pickup with the MJ sticker on it. My guess is that she is the manager who inspects the pickups for QC and appoints them with that sticker.
Nothing personal, but that pickup is just a normal Custom IMO.

Can't argue there. Or may be she did wind, I can't neither prove or disprove, since it wasn't custom shop order. But since the current generation stickers are a bit different and no longer bear her initials, this is still from the MJ era when she was on the production floor. And and low end is tighter than the other Customs I've tried.

That's not true. All the older Duncans with those stickers were wound by those people. If it says JBJ, DCJ, DDJ, etc... they were in fact wound by Maricela. She didn't become the manager of the custom shop until later. They haven't used those stickers in years.

I have been dealing with Lazyfinger the last couple of days and he has been a stand-up guy. If he says it's a custom wind then it's a custom wind. Enough said. Great deal on an MJ pickup.
