Full metal racket

Son Of Monster

and Son of Charlie
So here's a question, I love the sound of the Invader pup in the bridge of my BC Rick JR-V. In the neck I have a Duncan Design pup. I was wondering what a neck Full Shread pup would sound like with a bridge Invader? I'm looking for maxium chunk, but I still want to be able to hear the notes (ie, not a bunch of mud). If any of you have any ideas, please pass it on. Daddio's guitarst suggested a Distortion pup or a Custom. But I'm not a full blown solist. I like chunking (ie, Scott Ian, James Hetfield, Dave Mustane, & Joey Z). Thanks for your help.

Re: Full metal racket

Do you mean "Chugging" ? If so, that's something I also envy, from my invader. In my SG i'm running an Invader set(birdge, and an 80's neck model in the neck). I do have a DiMarzio Super Distortion in the neck, and Full Shred in the bridge of my Les Paul, and perfer the Invader neck more. I've come to realize that low output pickups, just sound better in the neck. The Shred sounds great in the bridge of that guitar though !

On a Side note, I have tried the Custom in the bridge, didn't care for it much. I've tried quite a few duncans/gibsons humbuckers, and the Invaders and Full Shreds have been the only ones to fit me perfect. I've heard great reviews of the FullShred neck model, and i'm sure that would sound awesome ! (It's romoured to be the same wind as the Invader, but with small hex screws, and 2 alnico mags, instead of 3 ceramics)

Hope this helps. Goodluck with whatever choice you make.
