I'm thinking about sticking a full shred in the bridge of my alder body rosewood fretbody guitar, would it be a good idea. Because i was thinking it would be to bright?

I run the Full Shred in an alomst Identical guitar ... an RGX (alder body, rosewood f/b, maple neck, vintage trem.

I've had no real problems with it after 5 years (3 1/2 in a poplar guitar)

Check out my website, there's an mp3 with me fooling around on the Full Shred

Thanks ... hehe a little arpegiating ... I wouldn't exactly call it shredding but hey ... if it lands me a Record Deal with Shrapnel I'm cool with that! ;D

Mixing ... in a band situation (2 guitars, bass, drums) it's great and can show up in the mix really well.

With just me and a drummer I could do with a bit more bass.

Cleans ... are not the greatest, mix the Full Shred with a single coil and it's got a wonderful sound ... but on it's own I find it too compressed.

I use the FS in the bridge of an American Ash strat with a maple fretboard. I love it! Since I use it to record my own music, I've got a little experience in terms of how it mixes, but I am fairly new to using it as I haven't had it intalled too long. I personally think that it really stands out and that if you're playing it at a volume that is even close to the rest of the band, you'll cut through nicely. At least it records that way! I actually like the clean tone very much, but you must understand that I'm a single coil guy ususally. Mixed with the PG in the neck, I think the clean tone is outstanding. When I get a chance I'm going to wire it with a coil tap and see how that goes...

If you love to shred, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this pup!
