Fully childproofed pedalboard

Back twenty and more years ago I never would have figured I'd need to childproof gear... It turns out adulting is harder than the pamphlet said it would be. With a 3 and 5 year old that love to pull at anything with a cable or pull at anything they can to figure out what it does. I'm in a pick up band with people I work with and we have a monthly gig, so my pedal board is like swatting flies with a hydrogen bomb.... but I think it's pretty cool. I've also got it exactly the way I want it, so it's locked down hard and totally childproof.... which is logarithmically above roadie proof.

Signal chain goes: fuzz, buffer, tuner, compressor, wah, phase, overdrive 1, overdrive 2, clean boost, flanger, analog delay, tremolo

Looks great -nice organization and implied reliability after moving it.

although.... Now raise your hands where I can see them, and slowly step away from that flanger :lmao:

Haha, it's actually a slide under it. I put some rare earth magnets under the velcro so it stays put in transport. It's a actually a cool flanger too... even though I use it as a chorus more than anything else.

A 3-year-old can jimmy those manicles in about 20 seconds flat, and the only way to childproof a pedalboard is to keep it in the darkest corner of the basement where they are afraid to go, but I admire the optimism on display in this thread!

Having your kids interested in what you're doing can be a blessing or a curse. Depends on how you play it. When my grandkids come over . . . they go straight for the guitars. ;)

Re: Fully childproofed pedalboard

I’ve got a few of my cheaper guitars I let me kids strum on and mess with pedals. My son’s favorites are the mini fuzz face pedals. :)
