fun with (digitally) reamping vocals

vocals only on the intro so far but this is my first time using reamped vocals on top of the clean ones. One track is just compression, EQ, and reverb and then another one running through AmpliTube3. The women of the house are out of town for 3 weeks so I can actually finish a track for once (hopefully)

I'm curious to know how you other guys have used reamped vocals so I can pick up some more tricks

Re: fun with (digitally) reamping vocals

You're getting better at harsh vocals. I ran a vocal track through a jcm900 on the edge of breakup on an old Fragmenta demo from 2008 but now I use a tape tube delay for that kind of thing. I would redo those guitars though. I know you're way better than that.

yup its all getting redone once the general sketch is done

How does reamping through the tube delay work? Turn delay off and crank up the input gain?

Bingo, unless I want the tape delay also in which I'll set it up in the mix and record it to another bus. If I want that analog sound I'll dump it to tape (4 track reel to reel) and bring it back into the session. I do that all the time on guitars which is how I get that searing sound.
