Fuses for vintage Twin Reverb

I just acquired a 77 Twin Reverb. These amp get a lot of bad press but I'm enjoying it. I would like to get some fuses for it, to have just in case, but the only 4 amp 125 volt slow blow fuses I'm finding are rated 250 and to then to the side in small print, "good for 125" and are ceramic. I have seen several YouTube videos with guys stressing the importance of using the correct fuse so I want to be sure I'm using the right one. Are these ceramic ones ok and if not where can I buy something better? Thanks.

I have a 72 Quad. I would stress the importance of making sure you properly match the correct fuse in those amps. They are very voltage sensitive amps, and if you use the wrong size fuse, you can run into a ton of problems. I just restored my amp, and many of the problems came from using the wrong fuses, lots of permanent damage that sent the amp to a tech's bench for a costly trip. If you can't find the properly rated/type of fuse locally, I strongly suggest buying a stash of them online.

Be aware that there are different sizes of fuses, both diameter and length. I assume that the amp probably takes an AG / AGC type slow blow. AGC fuses are 1 1/4" long and 1/4" diameter. That's pretty much a standard, American fuse as far as glass fuses go and probably the size used back in the 70's. But, I could be wrong. Pull it and look for a marking on the end caps, or measure the size.
