Curious to hear opinions, how well do you think recording by plugging your guitar into an interface/GarageBand patch captures the sound of the individual guitar/pickups?
I enjoy playing around with GarageBand, and it's clear that a Strat still sounds like a Strat, a Tele still sounds like a Tele etc., different guitars produce different results... I don't know how the algorithms work in Garageband, but I feel like to a degree, the experience of recording isn't quite sensitive enough to pick up the same nuances that playing through a "real" amp can. Or am I paranoid?
Would you trust a gear demo recorded using GarageBand modeling?
