So, I installed the pickups, put in a new output jack, and all i get is a buzz. A loud buzz which varies in volume when I adjust the volume controll. What did I do, and how do I fix it?

You did something wrong. :laugh2: To say how to fix it, a lot more details are needed - control setup, pickups, what colour wires are going where.

Alternatively, you could just pretend you're using a permanent fuzz pedal on 10?

Okay, Im running a Sh-5 custom in bridge and a Sh-2 jazz in neck with one vol and one tone and a 3 pos switch. I got th wiring diagram from this site

Re: Get rid of the buzz

If you get a buzzing sound, it is usually the sign of the common or ground is not hook up right. Check and make sure all your ground wires are connected correctly and firmly soldered.

Sounds like you might have wired the output jack backwards. It should be sleeve=ground, and tip=hot.

All of it looks soldered down, the only thing was that I had to add an extra lenght of wire to the capacitor to get the lenght to attach to both pots, the only other thing is that I may have nicked the white wire.
