getting a lot of noise after pick up swap...

Recently fitted a distortion and jazz into my ibanez. they sound great at bedroom level but as soon as i start cracking it its feeding back pretty bad. tone pot has been removed so would that make much difference or is it just because the pick ups are much hotter than the stock infinity ones??

The pups are a lot hotter but try re adjusting your gain level first

A pal of mine keeps harping on about a capacitor on the tone pot but there are countless players out there with no tone pots. Will try tweaking my gain levels as soon as i get chance to crank it. thanks.
