Getting Custom Guitar Body Built

I have an original guitar body design I want built. Every site I go to that says they build custom guitars you only have a selection of pre- shaped wood. Normally in the form of the Tele, les Paul , strat etc. I am looking for someone that can build the body shape that I want. Any help would be much appreciated.

I think your best bet would be finding a local luthier and commissioning a build through them.

There are also plenty of custom shops for big name companies. Fender has an excellent custom shop. You don't get quite the same experience as from a good local lythier In highschool I commissioned an electric mandolin for my girlfriend at the time and I'd check up on the luthier every week until it was done (it was on my way back from school) and he always had suggestions for how he could improve off my original idea.

But for every guy like that there are also scammers and people who think they are better than they actually are.
