Gibson 498t/490r Hybrid Thoughts?

498t: 12.32-13.46k, Alnico V, 43spn wire gauge
490r: 7.2-7.83k, Alnico II, 42spn wire gauge

Think this would be similar to the Custom/59 Hybrid?

Then I would use a leftover PRS vintage bass[8.5/AlnicoV] neck pup and use one coil/magnet for the 490r.

Thoughts?

Instead the risking of break a coil in the process, the best you can do to this combo is to put the following magnets in:

490R: AlNiCo 4
498T: AlNiCo 8

That's all threre's to it. The dread couple gets finally paired up into something USEFUL.

It would be similar to a C5/'59N hybrid, which is a very popular PU. You may or may not want to put an A5 in the 490R. But either way: go for it and report back to us.
