Gibson base grounding plate- where to find?

Can anyone tell where I can buy the shielding or grounding base plate that sits at the bottom of a les paul's cavity? The plate that houses the pots. Looked on ebay and all over the net. Just need the plate minus the pots.

No it's not. It's probably on there simply to make assembly easier in the factory (bolt all the pots onto the plate, do the wiring, then drop the whole thing into the guitar. Easier to do, and reduces the risk of a soldering iron accidentally scorching the finish.

As far as being necessary for a person sitting at home and rewiring his Paul, it's pretty redundant.

Yes, I understand that. Just want one to restore the guitar to original. So back to my original question. Where can I buy one?
