Gibson bass question

What are the official differences between Rippers and Grabbers? I know one is made entirely out of maple and the other is made out of.... what?... I'm not even sure which one's which. Also, which one has the moveable pickups? Do they sound/feel different? What about scale length? And, yes, I do feel like an idiot for not knowing already. :)

I think they were both normal 34" scale... the grabber was the one with moveable pickups. don't know about body wood though, I'm pretty sure they were both maple? I think the ripper had 2 pickups, the grabber had the one moveable one.

editted to say I remembered a 3 pickup model called the G3... in case you wanted options
