Gibson Burstbucker Pro's in LP Custom?

Hi!

From some time I wonder how would BurstBucker Pro's sound in LP Custom. My bandmate has them in his Standard and I kinda like their swirl and upper-mid crunch. Have anyone tried such combination?

Regards,Andy :)

I expect they will sound very similar unless his standard is one of those with chambers and your custom does not. I have these in an older LP Classic and like the tone very much. It has vintage chime but a lot of bottom as well.

Thanks for the reply. But in the meantime it turned out that my mate's Standard was produced in 1990 (sn: 9404...). So I'm afraid I was mistaken saying that those are BB's. As I've read those are supposed to be 498T/490R :disappoin

Nevertheless, BBPros are really good sounding pups, imo. They have a strong upper midrange and growl which should work really good in a LP Custom. The ebony board will help keep the BBPro articulate.
