hello wise guitar playing people,

anyone played the gibson firebird studio before? how do u find it? it looks really cool to me. i wasnt into the mini-pups in the original firebird, but 2 humbuckers and mini-grovers? thats rock!

i've been asking all these gibson questions cos i only got the cash to buy one and i dun wanna regret it.

thank you all for the feedbacks.

Re: Gibson Firebird Studio

I've read a great review in a guitar mag about the Firebird studio. The conclusion of this review was that the studio was a much more useful, versatile and confortable guitar than the standard desing. It came with some sound samples and the tone was great...

I too have seen good reviews - tho personally I would prefer the mini 'buckers. What kind of music would you be playing, and though what setup?

Re: Gibson Firebird Studio

Don't think those minis won't rock, cos they do. The ones in my recent LP Deluxe were incredible. Kinda like a P-90 with a bit more low mids. Great under high gain and super clean. Tone-wise I preferred it over my current LP Standard w/ BurstBucker Pros (though I do love it as well)

i dun wanna get something with mini humbuckers. if its gonna be a firebird, then the studio. i'm an inexperience guitarist , playing punk and rock. at jamming, i play thru a ibanaz tone blaster head and marshall 1936 2x12. sometimes i play thru a marshall avt combo.

the only firebird i consider would be the studio. :)

Eh, suit yourself. Not played one but it looks a good guitar though, and it should do you pretty well.
