Gibson Les Paul Standard Question....

Well 2005 is comming up shortly and Gibson will be releasing their 2005 Gibson Les Paul Models.... Anyone know if the colors of the Les Paul Standards are gonna be the same throughout 2005 or will they most likely change them? Theres a certain color I wanna buy thats offered in the 2004 standards but unfortunately I will not have the funds available to buy a Gibson for another month or two. Hopefully Gibson will keep producing the color I want.... :32: :dance: :wink:

Keep your eye on Ebay and consider a Premium Plus Standard. They tend to be the quality link between regular Standards and Historics. I never care about what pickups they're offering in the particular year, because I swap'em for nickel covered Duncans like C-5/59 or CC/Seth

i think it would look a touch better with a maple fretboard and rosewood block inlays

You may very well be able to buy a 2004 model a few months into 2005. I remember the 2003 models were sold (at musician's friend, at least) into February of '04 or later. Good luck with, though.

A traditional sunburst? You'll have no problem finding one of those. Cherryburst, Honeyburst, Tobaccoburst are all staples of the Gibson paintshop.

The Latte-burst looks a lot better than I would have expected.

I got my '01 Les Paul in July of '02, so I think you'll be fine if you said you just need a couple months.
