Gibson Marauder

Hi guys. The pots and input jack on my Marauder need to be replaced. I’m keeping the stock pickups, but was wondering what wiring mods would sound good with them? Maybe put an orange drop somewhere?

Also, does anyone know what the pot values would be? 500 for neck HB, 250 for bridge single-coil?

Thank you for any input! [emoji106]

Re: Gibson Marauder

I believe the tone pot on mine was a 250. The volume was apparently a 350 or 500. I replaced both with 500k's a couple years ago and the tone pot really made a difference. (It was easy to tell because I have always had a toggle switch to take the tone control out of the circuit. Doing so makes a very small difference now but made a big difference when the original pots were in there.)
Both pickups run through both pots.

Sorry, that is all I can tell you - mine does not have the original pickups. I have never played or heard a Marauder with the original bridge pickup in place. I do know the bridge pickup is not a typical single coil pickup and the neck is no typical humbucker, and the set was designed by Bill Lawrence to work as a set so usual pot value rules probably do not apply.

Thank you, Dave. I’m wondering if there’s any wiring mods I can do. I have a couple push/push pots laying around.
