I have never owned them, but I did a lot of research when I was wanting to convert a HB SG to something more P90-ish.
What I gathered was that the P94s, with overwound coils and A5 mags, are quite aggressive, and that the PCs, with the A2 mags, are chimier, mellower and can balance better with a PAF-type Humbucker.

To me the neck PC is very good, but the bridge PC can be pretty bright even with 250K's, and if P-94's are noticeably brighter than that, they won't work for me.

with hb's, i usually keep the tone knob at 10 to keep from being muddy. if i pull the trigger on either of these, i'll probably have to leave the tone knob rolled back a bit anyhow.
I have tried a P-94 in the bridge of my strat... I loved it and wish I never got rid of it. It was tight and semi aggressive, but insanely controlable and versitile. Great for anything! I had a PC in the neck of a wolfgang, and it was really mellow, but great for blues and hendrix stuff. I want to try a Phat cat bridge in my strat now, so I can compare.
